The Drive Is Easier Than You Think
Our office is right off I-64 in Middletown, KY — about a 20-minute drive from New Albany, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, or Watson, Indiana. For many clients, that's a shorter, more predictable trip than fighting traffic across town in Louisville itself.
Who We See
Southern Indiana clients come to us for the same range of concerns our Louisville clients do: individual counseling for anxiety, depression, or a hard season; couples and marriage counseling; family counseling; child and teen counseling; grief counseling; and trauma and EMDR work. Faith integration is woven into sessions the same way it is for anyone based in Louisville.
Insurance and Fees
We don't bill insurance directly, but every client receives paperwork (a Superbill) they can submit to their own insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Fees vary by counselor based on education and experience, and financial hardship is evaluated individually.
Why Sessions Are In Person for Indiana Clients
Our counselors are licensed in Kentucky, not Indiana, so we're not able to offer telehealth sessions to clients located in Indiana — state licensing laws require a counselor to be licensed in the state where the client is physically located at the time of the session. In practice, that just means an in-person visit instead of a video call, and with our office minutes off I-64, it's rarely a real inconvenience.

Do I need a Kentucky address or insurance plan to work with you? +
No. Searching for a therapist in New Albany doesn't have to end at the river. Telehealth counseling is available to clients throughout Southern Indiana regardless of address, and fees work the same way they do for our Louisville clients.
What if my internet connection or technology isn't great? +
Tell your counselor if a session is having connection trouble. Most sessions run smoothly on an ordinary home or phone connection, and your counselor can help troubleshoot if it isn't.
Can I ever come to the Louisville office in person instead? +
Yes, if that's ever more convenient for a particular week. Telehealth is simply the default option for Southern Indiana clients, since our only physical office is in Middletown, KY.
What if I've never done telehealth counseling before? +
It's a smaller adjustment than most people expect. Your counselor will walk you through what to expect before your first session, and most clients say it feels like a normal conversation within the first few minutes.
